Ferries are the alternative way to travel to Spain, especially if you don't like to fly. They are ideal for touring holidays in the north of Spain as you can take your car with you, and the day-and-a-bit each way on the boat becomes a part of your holiday too. Brittany Ferries sail from Plymouth to Santander or you can go from Portsmouth to Bilbao with P&O Ferries. Alternatively, take the short route across the channel and drive down through France.
Despite the channel tunnel, ferries are still the number one means of getting to France too. We have all the available routes here.
To give you direct access to online ferry bookings, we have partnered with AFerry UK, the largest online ferry booking network with access to over 60 major ferry operators, and over 800 European ferry routes. (Although "largest" is not something that we at Little Hotels automatically see as a virtue, booking hotels and ferries are quite different things. You wouldn't want to cross the Bay of Biscay in a little ferry, would you?)
If you are proposing to use one of the usual routes from the UK to Spain (Portsmouth - Bilbao, Plymouth - Santander), or cross-channel to France, use this booking form:

For a wider choice of routes, for example between mainland Spain and the Balearic and Canary Islands, or over to Morocco, follow this link to our other booking form with more routes.
