Weather in Spain
Summer Temperatures
The hottest daytime temperatures occur inland, whereas the
coasts and islands are just a little cooler and fresher, and of course the
north of Spain is cooler again and ideal for visitors who find the south
of Spain too hot for their taste. Be sure to look at the minimum (night-time)
temperatures too. You may not be around when the temperature hits the minimum
but a good minimum temperature is a sign of balmy evenings and nice temperatures
first thing in the morning too.
Winter Temperatures
Those night-time temperatures assume even more importance in winter. A reasonable minimum temperature tells us that that the warm part of the day will be longer, making much more pleasant conditions for walking or sightseeing. And of course the Canary Islands stand out: much further south, they're the classic destination for a spot of winter sun.
