Weather in Spain
Spain has less rain than any other country in Europe but only one small part
of it is a desert, so some rain has to fall. This page will help you ensure
that reality meets your expectations. As for that famous saying, "The rain
in Spain falls mainly on the plain": not true! It falls mainly in the north.
Summer Rainfall
Most parts of Spain have no more than one day of rain during
July, and just 1mm could be enough to trigger that statistic so in reality
you'll be very unlucky to see any rain at all during the summer months. The
north is wetter of course, though still less than in England,
and generally the rain will fall, the sky will clear and the sun will return.
There won't be interminable days of grey.
Winter Rainfall
Look at that! We get 3 wet days while Margaret's brother in Manchester gets 14. I know where I'd rather be.
