Guest Review of Morvedra Nou, Menorca
Hotel Rural Morvedra NouWe have just returned from a lovely week in Menorca staying at the Morvedra Nou. An intimate family run hotel with a small but very welcoming and helpful staff most of whom spoke excellent English. The hotel is a converted farm apparently and is thus in a very rural setting. I would think a car is a must and the smallest one you can get away with as apart from the main ones the roads are very narrow with stone brick walls on either side. To begin with, bearing in mind the hire car and left hand drive, I just stopped when we met a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. (After a while I gauged the width ok but it was only inches between wing mirrors!)
We were booked for bed and breakfast only and the morning meal was really excellent-buffet style with tremendous choice. We stayed for the evening meal on a couple of occasions and although quite acceptable, was not over inspiring although it was explained to us that the a la carte menu would not begin until June.
One other small point is that we missed having beverage making facilities in our room although there was a well stocked fridge.
All in all it was a lovely relaxing hotel which we would recommend strongly. Providing you hire a car and don't mind a 10 or 15 minute walk it is within a few miles of all the best beaches in that part of Menorca.
Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.
