At first sight, Casa La Concha seems like a very nice large villa in an up-market part of Marbella. Step through the little gate though, and it is like a tardis as the full grandeur of this gorgeous boutique hotel is revealed. Owner Marie-Helene has taken her lovely old Andalucian finca and created a little hotel that oozes exclusivity, quality and style.
The accommodation is comprised of suites and a group of little casitas stacked in higgledy-piggledy fashion around the main house. Each one reflects the touch of Marie-Helene's own hand as she has applied the Provencal style of her native France. There is space a-plenty, as well as all the modern necessities of the 21st century. The cottages even have their own private patio.
Of course outdoor living is key on the Costa del Sol, and the large gardens of Casa La Concha are pure delight. Reflecting again the owner's eye for style, the informality of the garden makes it a riot of banana plants, bougainvillea, lawns and seats and little nooks and crannies. For those who don't want to take the walk down to the beach, there is a large swimming pool (salt, not chlorine!) surrounded by an ample sun-bathing terrace.
The position of Casa La Concha seems nearly unbeatable. On the one side are the sea views, and on the other the view of the La Concha mountain that gives the hotel its name. Beyond the ample garden is one of the most exclusive parts of Marbella, the Golden Mile, where nearly all the properties are as individual as Casa La Concha. It's only about a mile to the nearest beach, or about twice that to the centre of the town.

A unique location with individual cottages giving privacy and independence, buried in a well-cared-for garden. With something like this, who would want to go to Marbella Club? Good price too. |
You feel so at home in this very different hotel. It breathes peace and tranquility, ideal for relaxing yet just a few minutes in the car to the beach or the Marbella nightlife. Marie-Helene, the owner, is charming and knows exactly how to give her hotel a chic and peaceful atmosphere. |
In my opinion this is a hotel far out-of-the ordinary. We arrived and everything was green, some marvellous views, numerous little corners to lose yourself. |
The service is very hospitable, always concerned that everything is perfect for us. |
