The 'Eco Village Finca de Arrieta' retreat is a truly unique holiday location set in rural surroundings only 300 metres from the beach of Arrieta. It offers 17 different self-catering options ranging from stone-built villas and a farmhouse to authentic Mongolian yurts. The Eco Village is a superb demonstration of how to enjoy a luxury holiday without it costing the earth.
Each property has sea views, south facing terraces, sun loungers, teak dining set, a barbecue, fully equipped kitchen, king size double beds, stereo, parking area, and is fully independent and private. They are set in mature, exotic gardens with fruit trees and bushes such as mango, banana, guava and lime. Guests are free to pick any of the organic produce and may also visit the hen house to collect fresh eggs.
The shared pool area boasts a 10 metre solar-heated pool sanitised without chlorine, sea and mountain views and a Polynesian style day bed. There is also a large covered area where there is a second kitchen, further dining tables for 20+ guests and authentic Moroccan floor seating. This area is spacious and has a hard wood floor. A perfect place to read a book or enjoy a meal.
Young guests are not forgotten and have their own children's play area which includes a play park, sunken trampoline, baby playroom, wooden pirate boat and the resident donkey "Mollie".
The Finca runs entirely on wind and solar power and is a unique example of sustainable living. It possesses one of the largest and most efficient renewable energy systems in Lanzarote giving guests the opportunity to experience living with the latest renewable energy technology. Eco Palm Yurt
This authentic 20 square metre Mongolian yurt is a perfect choice for a couple or small family looking for a budget yurt option. It offers cosy, comfortable accommodation with real green credentials. Inside, the designer "Manrique" floor and the traditional two-skin cover keep the yurt draft-free and ensure a constant ambient temperature. A central skylight allows ventilation as well as romantic star-gazing. The yurt sleeps 2 in a double bed and has the possibility to add up to 2 z-beds or travel cots. There is a private kitchen, private toilet & shower and there are electric plugs fitted and solar lighting.
Outside, this yurt has its own fenced and gated garden at the eco retreat Finca De Arrieta where you can enjoy the mountain and sea views. Eco Tower
The Eco Tower is a 25 sq metre, environmentally friendly luxury apartment set in the original water tower of the Finca de Arrieta estate. Sympathetically restored, the contemporary, spacious interior offers ideal self-catering accommodation for a couple.
The accommodation is on the first floor level and has a spacious bedroom area which comfortably sleeps two adults, and an ensuite shower room. Tastefully decorated, the use of wood, glass and local stone has created a light and airy feel and a sense of being at-one with the environment. There is a king-size double bed (180 cm wide) and marble floors provide coolness and luxury. Guests in the Eco Tower have the use of a fully equipped kitchen which is in the nearby shared area by the pool, but for convenience there are also tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There is a table and chairs on the balcony from where you can enjoy the spectacular sea view.

Garden Cottage
This luxury 40 square metre eco cottage is set in the gardens of Finca de Arrieta and has been sympathetically restored. The cottage has been tastefully styled to create a cosy cottage feel using wood and local stone flooring.
Its spacious living area can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests plus a cot. The contemporary design includes split level floor, open plan living room, kitchen area and bedroom. There is an extra large king size double bed in the bedroom area and a double sofa bed for extra guests if needed in the lounge area. The shower room has a walk in stone shower and free standing marble sink. It has a fully fitted kitchen and lounge area with views over to the sea, surrounding fields and mountains.

Eco Twin Yurt
This twin luxury Eco Yurt sleeps up to 6 guests. It is 2 yurts next to each other creating a great space for people with children or for 4 adults. The twin yurt has fantastic sea views, its own terrace area and comes with walk-in shower room and outdoor kitchen. This yurt has been imported from Mongolia where they live in this form of 'house' throughout the year. It is fitted with marble flooring and luxury fabrics and furnishing, an eclectic design combination that really works.
The yurt's shower room has been styled with a walk-in shower and free standing marble sink. It's outdoor fully fitted kitchen has a breakfast bar with granite worktop and overlooks the yurt's terrace area with the garden teak dining set. The south facing terrace is perfect for relaxing and catching some sunshine, and also the ideal spot to have a barbecue and enjoy some al fresco dining.
The Eco Yurt has two pods, one of 28 square metres which is fitted with an extra large double bed (180cm) and a sofa bed in its living area. The second pod is 8 square metres and has two single beds. As these yurts are used in Mongolia as full time living accommodation they are draft free, snug and extremely comfortable. The interior temperature stays at a comfortable level and the larger pod being 28 square metres is very spacious. In common with all of Finca de Arrieta, low energy light bulbs are used and everything is done to minimise environmental impact.

Eco Lodge
The 35 sq metre, environmentally friendly wood and stone lodge is set among the beautiful gardens of the finca. Using local materials, the contemporary and spacious interior offers ideal self-catering accommodation.
There are steps down to the private gated terrace and the patio door entrance leads into the open-plan living room and fully fitted kitchen that comes complete with a granite topped indoor/out door breakfast bar. The separate bedroom has a king-size bed and plenty of storage, with an ensuite shower room and toilet. It comfortably sleep two adults, plus children in added travel cot or in the double sofabed. Tastefully styled, the use of wood and local stone has created a warm and welcoming feel.

This unique luxury 28 square metre eco yurt sleeps up to 3 guests in a king-size double plus a single bed and/or cot, and has its own shower room, outdoor kitchen and decked patio. It has been tastefully styled with original hand picked hardwood Mongolian furniture.
The yurt is from Mongolia where they live in this this form of house throughout the year. It is paved with marble flooring and decorated with luxury fabrics and furnishings (probably quite un-like any yurt in Mongolia!). The shower room has been designed with a walk-in shower, bamboo screen and free-standing marble sink. The outdoor fully-fitted kitchen has a breakfast bar with a granite worktop and overlooks the south-facing decked patio.

A central skylight allows ventilation as well as romantic star-gazing. Yurt pod one is 6 meters in diameter and has a double bed and space for extra z beds and cots. Yurt pod two is 3 meters in diameter and has a single bed which can convert into a double bed or the single bed can be added to with a travel cot.

Eco Cabin
The environmentally friendly Eco Cabin can comfortably sleep four guests (plus travel cot). Lovingly restored and refurbished to a very high standard using local materials wherever possible, this traditional Canarian stone building has been converted into a perfect family-size holiday accommodation.
The cosy cabin comprises 80m2 of interior floor space on one level. It features wonderful views to the ocean from the lounge and kitchen area and it's large patio doors ensure a light and airy space with seating for four guests.The Cabin accommodation comes complete with a fully fitted bespoke kitchen including gas oven/grill, four-ring gas hob, fridge/freezer and plenty of cupboard space, which makes this property ideal for discerning self-catering holidays.
The open-plan lounge and kitchen leads to the naturally-lit hall where you can access both bedrooms and shower room. Eco Yurt Suite
The luxury Yurt suite has been finished to a very high standard. Finishing touches have been made by a local interior disigner where she has hand picked Mongolian antique hardwood furniture, used plush fabrics, and wood style flooring. The Eco Yurt Suite is the largest yurt at Finca De Arrieta being 8 metres in diameter and 53 square metres inside the yurt, therefore ideal for a couple who would like more space inside the yurt and a private ourdoor area. It has been well designed for family use, it's setting is tranquil and private, in a stone walled and gated split level garden/terrace which is 325 square metres in size.
There is plenty of space for children to play and for adults to relax on the shaded day bed and hammock. There is an additional large roofed terrace with a teak dining set and gravelled area with exotic plants and a barbecue. The outdoor area of this yurt boasts fabulous views over the whole retreat and on down to the sea and fishing village of Arrieta. The yurt originates from Mongolia where they live in this form of house throughout the year. Like all the accommodation at Finca de Arrieta, the Yurt Suite is self catering and has a fully equipped kitchen with granite breakfast bar and gas oven, fridge and all the utensils you will require on your holiday. Eco Beach Yurt
This eco-friendly luxury twin unit consists of three adjacent accommodations. Firstly an authentic Mongolian 5 metre yurt with a double bed, a second 6 metre yurt with double bed and a neighbouring sustainable pod on a raised platform. The beach yurt unit is a great choice for four adults, a large family or 2 x families who are looking for a sustainable sunshine holiday.
Both yurts and the Pod are each decorated with luxury fabrics and furnishings. The 5 metre yurt contains a 160cm kingsize double bed and the 6 metre a 180cm wide super-kingsize bed. Both yurts have Manrique style flooring and tasteful Indonesian furniture. The palm pod can be combined as an indoor living area or summer month bedroom*, containing a double sofa bed with beautiful views towards the beach of Arrieta village. An additional single Z bed and/or cot can be added to any of the units for extra guests (Maximum capacity of 8 in total) The whole retreat of Finca De Arrieta is powered by wind and solar energy, you are able to see the wind turbines working from your yurt. The turbines can create a "wind like" hum as they work to produce our sustainable energy.

Luxury Villa
This luxury villa sleeps up to 6 guests in ample sized rooms, with wooden floors and traditional stone walls. The villa has been tastefully furnished with influences from Morocco and Indonesia giving it an exotic feel.
The villa has been loving restored to a very high standard using local stone and wood for its floors and walls. It is set on one level and is very spacious being 200 square metres in size, and thanks to the original solid stone walls keeps cool in summer and warm during winter.
There is a bespoke hardwood and granite fitted kitchen with grill, 4-ring stove, fridge/freezer, oven, toaster and washing machine. There is also a granite topped breakfast bar with views from the kitchen area across the garden. The spacious lounge has hardwood floors and double patio doors leading outside. Features include an Indonesian day bed and columns, Moroccan coffee table and a decorative Morrocan internal window. This room also has an Indonesian double day bed for extra guests.
Through the large hall way we come to the master bedroom which boasts fantastic mountain views, hardwood floors, antique furniture and a large 160 cm double bed. Other features include a large built-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with jet bath and walk-in shower. The second shower room also has a walk-in shower and both bathrooms are fitted with Italian-designed glass and steel sinks and Moroccan mirrors. The second bedroom has two single beds, a comfortable double sofa bed, a wooden floor and hand painted Chinese furniture.

Luxury Farmhouse
The farmhouse is the largest building to be renovated at the Eco Retreat of Finca De Arrieta. Like everything at the Eco Finca, it has been finished to a very high standard and can sleep 6 guests in its 3 bedrooms, plus a couple of extra children in cots or Z-beds. Two of the bedrooms have king size, double beds and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. Local materials have been used wherever possible in the restoration including the original stone walls. There is a light airy feel to the farmhouse and of course it has the usual sea views down to Arrieta Beach.
The accommodation covers a massive 250m2 of interior floor space and features an open-plan kitchen with granite work surfaces and hardwood cabinets. The large central island is an ideal work space, offering views to the gardens beyond. There is a large oven/grill, five-ring hob, fridge, freezer, toaster and plenty of cupboard space, making it ideal for discerning self-caterers.
The entrance door leads directly to the large lounge, which has a split-level hard wood floor and a day bed for total relaxation. The hallway leads through to the guest bedroom, which has a skylight, twin beds and wardrobe.
Continuing through the farmhouse, you enter the kitchen and step down into the dining area, where the antique wood table offers seating for 6 guests. Yet again, the dining room boasts magnificent views over the mature garden and pool area.
Antique double doors lead to the master bedroom suite which has fantastic mountain views. This room features antique furniture including a super king-size four-poster double bed, built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with wooden bathtub, walk-in shower, twin basins and a separate toilet. The third bedroom has a marble floor, kingsize double bed and views over the gardens. The second bathroom also features a walk-in shower, bath, twin basins and toilet.
Outside, the farmhouse is set in its own garden, offering a large ranch-style covered terrace with marble floor and a dining area for 8 guests. The front garden of the farmhouse leads to the private pool area which includes a raised bamboo dining hut with sea and mountain views. The pool area provides a second kitchen, covered chill out area including double day bed and leather sofas. In addition it has a further shower room and toilet.

Meals
All the accommodation at Finca de Arrieta is self-catering and each cottage, yurt, etc has its own kitchen. There is also a communal second kitchen with dining area and everything is done to make meals easy: local shops and restaurants are a five minute walk away, food packs can be provided or even a complete meal brought to you at the finca.
