Finca Malvasia
, Camino El Oratorio, 12-14, Masdache.
Finca Malvasia is a 'boutique' guesthouse and vineyard providing luxury self-catering apartments with the option of a gourmet bed and breakfast service. The unique and stunning location amongst the dormant volcanoes of Lanzarote creates a fabulous location for a memorable holiday.
Finca Malvasia is located on a 20,000 sq metre working vineyard in Masdache, at the heart of the La Geria wine region surrounded by the stunning backdrop of the Timanfaya fire mountains. Hosts Tarnya and Richard have spent many years in Lanzarote and are always on hand to make their guests feel welcome.
A stay at Finca Malvasia is as peaceful as it is stylish. There are four individually designed apartments set around the Cesar Manrique style pool all within a landscaped garden. (Cesar Manrique is the world-renowned Lanzarote architect who created the style that runs through all the best design on the island.) The garden is abundant in palms, bananas, avocado, bougainvillea and fig trees. Beyond there’s the extensive vineyard and beyond that again, the volcanoes.
The five apartments are spacious and bursting with stylish design, offering a choice on one-bedroom or two-bedroom accommodation. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a lounge with feature volcanic rock walling, stunning bathrooms (some with indoor gardens), comfortable beds with luxurious bed linens, satellite TV, CD and DVD player. For home-from-home comforts there’s a well-stocked honesty bar and a welcome pack of fresh tea, coffee, milk, water and local produce ensures that guests will not go hungry or thirsty on arrival.
The La Finca villa is a fully independent property providing 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a private swimming pool and terrace.
For most people, the hub of Finca Malvasia is the pool, surrounded by terraces, trees and a barbecue. It’s an ideal place to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding countryside. There’s also the novel yoga and treatment room built of local volcanic stone providing on-site spa facilities for guests to truly relax and rejuvenate themselves.
Finca Malvasia has been privileged to be considered one of the TimesOnline Hot 100 Best Hotels in Europe.

Reviews from Little Hotels Travellers:
On our arrival we had Canarian platters and for the first morning we also ordered a gourmet breakfast, which was all very good. It is a lovely nice place and the Apartment was really beautiful. A great bedroom with a comfortable bed and really luxurious bed linens and all the rest is like on the pictures. The Swimming Pool is not as big as in the pictures, but really nice. Tarnya and Richard were also really friendly. The only problem was the weather, it was cold (some 5 degrees less than in Playa Blanca) and we got 2 electric heaters at our disposal. Little Hotels comment: Unfortunately there have been a couple of short periods of unpleasant weather during this winter, and it sadly coincided with JM's stay. |
Just a quick note to let you know we had a fabulous holiday at Finca Malvasia. Richard and Tania are excellent hosts and we found the island a fascinating and delightful place. I will certainly recommend your website. |
