Casa Rural Morrocatana is a group of four self-catering cottages on the edge of the tiny village of Masca in the mountains on the west side of Tenerife. The views and scenery are absolutely spectacular.
Each cottage has a lounge and kitchen area, plus one or two bedrooms and a bathroom. The interiors are homely with a old-fashioned touch, but that doesn’t preclude television, wi-fi and a microwave oven. The style is a throwback to a more leisurely pace of life, just like the village and the whole region.
There are private terraces with outdoor furniture and each cottage also has an enclosed verandah.
This is a location for people who definitely don’t want to be a part of the usual holiday crowd in the resorts, possibly more interested in walking or exploring the mountains. A hire car is strongly recommended in order to visit the north coast or to go down to the beaches of the south-west corner of the island. It's only 5 miles to Los Gigantes and the nearest beach.

There is both a shop and a market in the village for buying provisions. If you prefer eating-out there are also restaurants and bars within walking distance.

| Beautiful remote location high above the Masca gorge with just amazing views as far as to the ocean. Host Pedro is very friendly and helpful. A great place to relax, hike and enjoy nature. The unusual experience is to arrive in Masca by car on a very narrow mountain road full of curves. |
