Casa Enjoy Samaná
, Loma de La Pina, Punta Balandra, Dominican Republic.
With a spectacular view of Samaná Bay, surrounded by palm and coconut trees, Casa Enjoy Samaná is a secluded B&B hotel where guests can pamper themselves and feel comfortably at home. After 38 years in the haulage business, Eddy and his Dominican wife Gracy turned their attention something entirely new, and the result was Casa Enjoy Samaná.
The wonderfully integrated design theme of white and blue pervades the whole hotel. While the facade has a colonial feel, Eddy and Gracy have not been afraid to embrace the new too. The interiors are unashamedly modern and there’s technology enough fulfil almost every need. Wi-fi is available everywhere, there’s a flatscreen TV in every room and the bluetooth devices enable guests to take their own personal playlist anywhere.
Casa Enjoy Samaná is the very antithesis of the big all-inclusives that abound in the Dominican Republic. With just four guest rooms, it’s more like a private house party, with Eddy and Gracy as your amiable hosts. The extensive tropical garden that tumbles down from the front of the house is big enough for everyone. There’s the big swimming pool with lots of sun loungers, various terraces, covered or uncovered to suit the moment, and not one but two jacuzzis. And all this comes with a sweeping sea view.
Breakfast is simple and tasty, with fresh fruit juice, coffee or tea, cereals, croissants, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and more. Champagne breakfast is available on request. You can also enjoy fresh cocktails at the bar in the swimming pool or up on the terrace. Lunch and/or dinner are also available on request, and like everything else at Casa Enjoy, the menu is tailored to suit the guests.
The four guest rooms all feature a balcony with a sea view. Add to that air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a coffee machine, an en-suite bathroom with shower and free toiletries, and guest comfort is assured.
Casa Enjoy is dedicated to relaxation on the nearby beaches. The nearest small beach is just a few minutes walking away or a short drive will lead to the long empty beach at Playa Rincon. While out and about, don’t miss the waterfalls at El Limon and the Los Haitises Natural Park. The nearby small towns of Las Galeras and Samaná offer shops, bars and restaurants.
