La Fossardière
, Hameau de la Fosse, Omonville-la-Petite, Basse-Normandie.
In the heart of one of the most beautiful tiny villages of La Hague, secluded in a flower-filled valley of woods and fields, we find Hotel La Fossardière. This tiny cluster of old stone houses is a delight on the senses. Surrounded by a lush garden of riotous flowers and greenery, this is a wonderful getaway from the bustle of modern life.
The lounge, breakfast room and bar are packed full of rustic, farmhouse character to match the exteriors. Meanwhile the guest rooms are fresher and more modern. They all have an en-suite bathroom and a view of the garden. Some also have a private terrace. Perhaps this is the best of both worlds.
Nearly out on the tip of the Normandy peninsula, La Fossardière is well away from the crowds, but not remote as it is only about 30km from the ferry port at Cherbourg. North, west or south from La Fossardière, it’s only a short drive to the coast. The scenery is fantastic, there’s great walking everywhere, but easy access to the (mostly stony) beaches everywhere. A trip along to Goury gives a view all the way to Alderney.
