Mer du Mer.
Avenue de la Gaillarde 34, Les Issambres, Provence.
Mer du Mer is a villa hotel (B&B) with a serious wow factor. It's right on the coast near the beach at Les Issambres, between Saint-Raphael and Sainte-Maxime.
A large terrace extends right across the front of the property giving breathtaking views out over the sea. The terrace has pergolas and furniture of sun-bleached wood giving a pleasantly informal ambience. There's a heated salt-water swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.
A good breakfast is served daily, and wine, champagne, coffee and water are always available. For other meals, there are several restaurants nearby.
The guest rooms are decorated in a pretty Provencal style so that the terraces blend seemlessly with the interiors. They all have a private terrace, air-conditioning and a television (an en-suite bathroom of course). Two of the rooms have a direct sea view and the third (the twin-bedded room) has an oblique sea view. The fourth room has a terrace facing the garden.
Nearby destinations include the riviera resorts of Cannes, Nice and Saint Tropez. Even Monaco is an easy drive away, and an ideal daytrip to see how the "other half" lives. The sunny hinterland of Provence opens up visits to charming villages such as Gassin, Seillans, Tourtour, Cotignac, Moustier Sainte Marie, Saint Paul de Vence, Mougins, Gourdon and Châteaudouble.
