Created by a young couple with  no experience, the Artist Residence is a unique and renowned boutique hotel with a lively, exciting, bohemian atmosphere. The position could hardly be bettered: just 40 miles from London, looking down through a classical Regency square to Brighton beach and the haunting remains of the West Pier.

There's a strong emphasis on food and drink Artist Residence Brighton, with 2 restaurants, 2 buzzing cocktail bars and a ping-pong room thrown in for good measure. The Set Restaurant has an ever-changing seasonal tasting menu. Enter through the reclaimed doors and sit at the open kitchen table where you can watch the chefs prepare dishes to excite and surprise. For a more casual setting, The Set Cafe serves cocktails, craft beers and seasonal small plates. It's a great venue for a quick lunch or starting an evening.

The Cocktail Shack is a quirky cocktail bar with sea views. Settle down with your drink in the cool and moody lounge, complete with neon washing line! Then tucked away beneath Artist Residence, The Curious Mr Hanbury is a cosy nook where curious cocktails will be concocted to your taste, accompanied with tall tales from Mr Hanbury's apprentices...

The original Artist rooms are each decorated by a different local artist, and give the hotel both it's name and it's eclectic flavour. There are no overblown titles here; rooms are described as "tiny", "medium", "bigger" and so on. Lots of them have sea views, some have balconies, the smaller rooms have rainfall showers and the bigger rooms also include a proper bath tub. Comfy beds, exciting style, flatscreen TV and wi-fi: what more could anyone ask for?
