You will find a warm welcome awaiting you at Farlam Hall Country House Hotel, a place of relaxation and comfort set in ornate grounds in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Peter and Bb and their team work hard to provide the elegance and serenity of a traditional English country house, with 21st century standards of service and care.

The gardens feature beautifully tended lawns, specimen trees and a little stream and lake to bring the presence of nature right up close.

High ceilings, opulent decor and views of the lake and fountain make the Cedar Tree Restaurant at Farlam Hall a perfect place to enjoy a fine dining experience. This acclaimed restaurant is led by a fantastic team of chefs, who put together seasonal menus using the very best of local produce. A new menu is created every week, showcasing the best of modern British cuisine. Then each Sunday, it's time for a traditional Sunday lunch. And speaking of tradition, there's afternoon tea in one of the lounges, a mix of sweet and savoury delights accompanied by tea served in the quintessentially English style using delicate china cups.

All twelve bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms as luxurious as the bedrooms themselves. For guests who may struggle with stairs, two of the rooms are on the ground floor. Whether choosing Standard, Medium or Superior, the rooms have space for lovely furnishings and easy chairs. And of course they all feature a television, radio, CD player, safe, trouser press, hairdryer, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries.

Situated between the north Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site (with the spectacular Lake District less than an hour’s drive away), Farlam Hall is in the perfect place for exploring both world-famous landmarks and hidden gems. Stunning scenery, walking and cycling routes lined with scenic splendour, and plentiful historical sites are all waiting to be discovered. Outdoor pursuits like golf, fishing and birdwatching are all well catered for, while for indoor pursuits there are numerous country houses and museums in the area.
