Carthusian is a family room is located on the first floor of The George, and accessible through the courtyard, with views of the side alley and houses. This room boasts an enormous four-poster bed plus a sofa bed. Samuel Pepys and Sedgmoor are two more double rooms with four-poster beds, accessed via a spiral staircase. King Charles has a heavy carved wooden bed and an abundance of timber-framing. There are several more rooms in the inn itself and others in a second slightly newer stone house opposite.
The George Inn also serves as a gateway to the surrounding rural landscape, with walking routes and scenic views nearby. Its location makes it an ideal stop for those exploring the villages and rolling hills of the region. Many visitors combine a trip to the George Inn with excursions to nearby Bath, Longleat, Wells or the Mendip Hills.
