From the outside, Grange Boutique Hotel is a pleasant Victorian house in the centre of Grange Over Sands. On the inside, it is stunning! Everything is newly decorated and the style is absolutely on-trend “boutique”.

Without a doubt our favourite room is the Butterfly Suite. There is a huge handmade bed of reclaimed timber with a Hypnos mattress and duck down duvet (or non-allergenic if you prefer). This apartment has a sitting area with a 55” OLED television, a fireplace, a farmhouse-style kitchen and a wonderful bathroom with a double spa bath and a walk-in shower. This all adds up to 100m2 of space, totally unique and the height of luxury!

The Lilac Cottage Suite is similar but a little smaller, but this can be turned into a 2 bedroom suite with the addition of the adjacent Superior King Room. All the rooms at the Grange are in the most exquisite taste, with luxuries such as big walk-in showers, dedicated wi-fi points, underfloor heating, tea and coffee making facilities, heated towel rails and His’n’Hers basins.

The breakfasts at Grange Boutique Hotel will really set you up for the day. Full English has a local twist with traditional Cumberland sausage, or there a selection of other breakfasty treats. Vegetarians are not forgotten with Herbed Mushrooms sprinkled with Sea Salt topped with Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire Melted Cheese on Toast. Breakfast is served in either the breakfast room or in the privacy of your own room. There’s also a good selection of nibbles, snacks and light meals throughout the afternoon and early evening. For dinners, the hotel recommends several fine dining establishments in close proximity.

Grange over Sands is a picturesque coastal town with a splendid promenade, and provides a great base for exploring the magnificent Lake District National Park, the Lake District Peninsula and the famous medieval village of Cartmel, with its Michelin Star restaurants, racecourse and craft beer.
