Hazel Bank Hotel is a classic country house with private woodland, bridges and beck-side walk. Local owners Gary and Donna are always at hand to introduce you to some true Lakeland hospitality. Elevated above the hamlet of Rosthwaite, Hazel Bank has commanding views of the surrounding fells (which include Scafell Pike and Great Gable).

Every room has breathtaking views of the Borrowdale Valley and is a perfect haven to retire to after a Lakeland walk or a day’s exploring. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers, and feature the finest quality L’Occitane toiletries and soaps, along with heated towel rails to ensure those fluffy white towels are always warm. There are digital flatscreen TVs with a wide selection of channels and radio stations, and also refreshment trays with a range of teas, coffee and complimentary bottled water and fresh flowers.

The restaurant offers a menu of freshly prepared dishes by renowned local chef David Jackson and owner Donna MacRae. Guests can try authentic Cumbrian cuisine here using locally sourced produce. In the mornings, guests can enjoy a selection of cooked-to-order breakfasts including full English.

Nearby attractions include Whinlatter Forest, Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake, and Honister Mine. Derwent Water is just a 10 minute drive away.
