Y Felin Farm cottage is a four bedroom self-catering barn conversion at Kidwelly Farm. There is also bed and breakfast available in the farmhouse (see Kidwelly Farmhouse) and two luxury safari tents for glamping (see Kidwelly Glamping).

Kidwelly Farm overlooks the ancient town of Kidwelly with its medieval castle and church. There are breath-taking views of the sea and countryside with footpaths around the farm, including one leading direct from the farm down to the town and castle.

The cottage is filled with character, with original oak beams and a wood burning stove. It sleeps up to 10, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a family room with a kingsize bed and two singles, king size bedroom and two twins, one with disabled access and a wet room. There is plenty of space for the family in the sitting area with two three seater settees and a two seater settee with a TV and DVD player. Relax and enjoy a coffee on the leather settees on the mezzanine floor with the vaulted ceiling. The dining area seats eight comfortably and the kitchen is well equipped for a large family with fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside there is a hot tub on the patio and a table and chairs, a large enclosed garden and a barbecue. Children can enjoy the play area which has swings and a slide, ride on buggies and a trampoline. There is a large blackboard for budding artists and a table tennis table in the covered barn opposite.

With the Gower to the east and Pembrokeshire to the west, there is scenery, walking and beaches in abundance. Pembrey Country Park is packed with activities ranging from a 130 metre dry ski slope, the longest toboggan run in Wales, a steam train, pitch and putt golf, adventure playground, miles of cycle and horse riding tracks, picnic areas and seven miles of safe sandy beach boasting a blue flag. Visit the National Wetland Centre for hundreds of wildfowl and birds, including flamingoes. For castle lovers there are Kidwelly itself, Carreg Cennen, Laugharne (home to Dylan Thomas and his famous boathouse) and Dinefwr where you will also find the 18th century gardens designed by Capability Brown. The list goes on!
