Leworthy Farmhouse
, Lower Leworthy, Holsworthy, Devon.
It's hardly surprising that Leworthy Farmhouse B&B has won so many awards. This is an authentic Devonshire farmhouse set in glorious countryside on the border of Devon and Cornwall. With three acres of land all around, adults and children alike will love the pigs, sheep, ducks and chickens that live there. And just to finish it off, the farm has it's own fishing lake.
The pretty garden is packed with flowers and has lots of lawn. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views.
Indoors, the quality of the furnishings and decor is top notch. The breakfasts are a special treat and have won their own awards (four years running!) for Leworthy Farmhouse. It's not just the free-range eggs that are produced on-site, The bacon and sausages also come from Leworthy's own herd of rare breed pigs and all other ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. Kirsty takes pride in the way she cooks and presents her breakfasts and is happy to cater for all food intolerances and allergies.
The guest rooms all have a comfortable bed and a flat-screen television with built in DVD player, plus hairdryer, clock radio/alarm, ample storage and a complimentary hospitality tray with a fine selection of beverages, fresh milk and a tasty treat. All the rooms have an en-suite shower room and even the smallest room has at least one chair. The beds range from standard double to super king-size and twin beds are possible in some rooms. There is also a family room with a single bed in a separate interconnected room.
This is a place for all lovers of the English countryside, and especially cyclists, walkers, horse riders, surfers and fishermen. The north Devon coast is only a few miles away and the little-known seaside town of Bude is just 9 miles distant.
