Lewtrenchard Manor is a prestigious family-run luxury hotel in Devon. Nestled in a secluded valley beneath Dartmoor’s wild tors, and virtually untouched by time, the Manor is located in a magnificent setting. Steeped in history, the Jacobean house dates back to the early 1600s, and is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, away from the modern world, in beautiful surroundings. Although the house is grand, the atmosphere is one of peace and tranquillity. With beautiful gardens surrounded by Devonshire countryside, the grounds make the ideal location for a peaceful afternoon. Inside, the accommodation has been designed with comfort and luxury in mind, with gorgeous antique furniture at every turn.

Diners at Lewtrenchard are treated to a very special dining experience that is perhaps without equal in the South West. The food is always meticulously prepared and beautifully presented by a team of chefs under head chef Tom Browning. A great deal of the produce used in the restaurant comes from the manor's own walled kitchen garden, so menus vary with the seasons. For an even more unique dining experience, try the "Chef's Table" when you will be able to follow all the action in the kitchen and interact with Matthew and his team. The evening starts with champagne and canapés, followed by an eight course menu with the option of a flight of wines to match the courses.

Each of the guest rooms and suites is a unique design, exuding a highly individual character combining rich and sensuous soft-furnishings, fabrics and wall coverings with highly distinctive furniture. Depending on the room, there are four-poster beds, parkland views, lovely stone-mullioned windows and rolltop baths. Every room is blessed with a smart TV, wi-fi, soft cotton bathrobes, radio-clock, telephone, hot-drink facilities with fresh milk and Noble Isle luxury bathroom products.

The location of Lewtrenchard Manor gives easy access to the wilds of Dartmoor and the beautiful Tamar valley. The hotel can organise relaxation therapies in your room, plus livelier activities such as falconry, clay pigeon shooting, horse-riding and fishing. There are also several golf courses nearby.
