Above all, Lympstone Manor Hotel is the realisation of a dream for Michael Caines MBE. Through his inspiration and drive, the Grade II listed Georgian manor house has been transformed into a fabulous country house hotel.

Only a short distance from Exeter, on the southern edge of Lympstone village, Lympstone Manor overlooks the Exe estuary, Exmouth and the south Devon coast, and is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and an abundance of wildlife. The 28 acres of garden, grounds and parkland extend right down to the foreshore of the Exe estuary. They include The Lady's Walk, an historic route around the boundary of the estate which was first developed in 1760.

Lympstone Manor offers an unrivalled experience, with sumptuous interiors, delightful decor, and views to die for. The majority of the guestroooms look out on panoramic views of the Exe estuary and across the verdant hills of Devon. Each one is named after one of the birds that frequent the estuary. They include hand-painted original artwork by local artist Rachel Toll representing the birds that inspire each room. To attempt to list the features and virtues of the rooms would be a folly: the photographs speak for themselves.

Dining at Lympstone Manor is an exceptional experience in every way. Here in the beautiful dining rooms of this Georgian mansion, Michael Caines MBE, chef/patron and one of Britain’s most celebrated and influential chefs, is able to fully express his vision of modern British cuisine. that is fresh, seasonal, original, and exciting. Utilising the bounty of the Exe estuary, East Devon and the South-West, his cuisine is matched by wines selected from a world cellar that contains over 600 bins.

Many guests visit Lympstone Manor for the relaxation, pampering and the epicurean delights. Some others will be looking for a more active experience. This could include walking on the South Devon coastal path, golf at Budleigh Salterton, Woodbury Park and Exeter Golf & Country Club, bird watching on the estuary, cycling along the Exe Estuary Trail, watersports including sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, and kitesurfing, deep sea fishing, wine tasting and vineyard visits, and much more besides.
