Situated in the picturesque village of Brendon in Exmoor National Park, Millslade Country House is located in the heart of Lorna Doone country. Just a few metres away the East Lyn river plunges down the Doone Valley to the coast at Lynmouth. Here Anna and Simon provide individually tailored hospitality in their lovely country B&B.
Backed by woodland, Millslade has a large lawned garden with a terrace for sitting out. Indoors there is an exclusive guest lounge with a wood burner.
Taking special pride in their food and drink offerings, Anna and Simon have a range of breakfasts to satisfy everyone’s taste, all locally-sourced. Lunch, dinner or cream tea can be provided by arrangement. Being licensed, you can also enjoy your favourite tipple with your meals.
There are just four guestrooms, all en-suite. Two have kingsize beds, one is a double and one has twin beds which can be combined into a super-kingsize. Using a daybed, one of the rooms can accommodate a family with two children. The tastefully furnished rooms have generous sized televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, enhanced WiFi signal and USB ports for phone charging.
Exmoor is packed full of glorious scenery and walking opportunities. See the famous red deer and Exmoor ponies, or follow the streams through the deep wooded valleys. Down on the coast there are sandy beaches, rocky combes and pretty villages. Easily accessible attractions include the cliff railway between Lynton and Lynmouth, the Lynton and Barnstaple steam railway and National Trust houses at Arlington and Dunster Castle.
