The Plough Inn is a 4-star boutique hotel with an award-winning restaurant set in the beautiful Towy Valley on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by castles, country houses and the National Botanical Garden of Wales.

The gardens and terraces have glorious views across the Towy Valley; a perfect place to relax or sit out to eat on a sunny day. While lots of guests will be burning off their energy walking or cycling around Carmarthenshire, the hotel also has a comprehensive gym including treadmills, free weights and a multi-gym amongst others, ensuring a full body workout. Or for a more relaxing experience, perhaps to ease some aching muscles after a rigorous session in the gym or in the Welsh hills, there is the ever-popular sauna.

The dining room and the lounge bar at The Plough Rhosmaen have a nationwide reputation for their commitment to using the best local ingredients, cooked in new and exciting styles providing a menu with choices of the old favourites or dishes a little more imaginative, all complemented by an extensive wine cellar and a great range of coffees to finish. The day starts with a hearty Welsh breakfast, and if you’re still around a little later the lounge and bar are open for brunch or morning coffee. The lunch menu extends from lighter bites such as the popular sandwich platter, through to hearty favourites like beef stroganoff. Relaxing in the bar or conservatory, or out in the garden, lunch is accompanied by a view of the Towy valley. Each afternoon, The Plough serves their own Welsh interpretation of English afternoon tea, including special favourites like Bara Brith and Welsh Cakes. There's also a bubbles option, with sparkling Prosecco. Last but not least, the dining room opens for dinner. From delicious soups, meats from Celtic Pride to local fish, ingredients are sourced locally and as fresh as can be, to keep the quality up and the food-miles down.

23 well-appointed en-suite rooms are equipped with everything you would expect for your stay - queen-sized beds, free WiFi, sofas and facilities for the disabled. Pets are also accepted in certain rooms. Whether you choose Classic, Superior or Executive, the rooms include Hypnos beds, super views, a television, hair dryer and tea and coffee-making facilities. There are family rooms too with bunk beds or sofa beds, and the two disabled-friendly rooms are on the ground floor with walk-in showers, shower chairs and toilet seat height adjusters.

The Plough has the Towy Valley on the doorstep and is just at the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Surrounded by castles and country houses, with the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney House only minutes away, the hotel is well situated to fire up some great days of exploring. The town of Llandeilo is a short stroll from the hotel - a superb market town hosting great eateries, antique shops and lots of upmarket boutiques and gift shops. Of course wonderful walking and cycling country comes as standard.
