How could anyone resist that view? A terrace and long walls of glass open straight over the sandy beach to the Salcombe estuary. What a place to sit and watch the boats go by!
This beautiful boutique hotel is decorated in soft colours of painted wood giving it a charming seaside, New England feel. It's child-friendly and pet-friendly too. After all, what child wouldn't want to go paddling, crabbing or building sand castles on that beach.
There's a fabulous bar serving all manner of wines and cocktails, and it's hardly surprising that the restaurant specialises in seafood. It's right at the front of the hotel with a terrace to make the best of the view.
Best room in the house is the J Class room, just as spacious and sumptuous as the yacht it is named after. Other rooms on the front of the hotel have sea views too, a couple have terraces and they all have comfy beds and swanky bathrooms. There are also some luxurious two-bedroom suites for families, complete with kitchens should you wish to self-cater.
