The Bell.
Shipston Road, Alderminster, Warwickshire.
The Bell started out as an eighteenth century coaching inn situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Alderminster close to Stratford upon Avon with all its many Shakespearian attractions. It is part of the private Alscot Estate, and Alscot products on sale in the pub include Alscot Ale and Alscot-blend coffee.
The Bell is a chic and modern country inn which blends tradition and style into its restaurant, bar and the beautiful gardens that run down to the river. There's a beautiful terrace, too, a popular spot for lunch in the sun, perhaps washed down by a pint of that Alscot Ale, or one of the many other choices available in the bar.
The restaurant has a wall of glass looking out onto the terrace giving a light, bright ambience. Emphasis is placed on delivering excellence in service, taste, flavour and presentation, and the menu and daily specials change regularly to accommodate the abundant fresh seasonal produce available. Nearly everything is sourced locally, including game, lamb and vegetables straight from the Alscot Estate.
Every one of the nine boutique rooms has been individually designed to create stylish and extremely comfortable overnight accommodation. All of the rooms have flat-screen TVs, free high-speed broadband, and en-suite shower facilities - six of the nine rooms having a bath as well as shower. Pick your room to suit your taste: serenity, space, opulence, nauticality or funky colours.
Just 5 miles down the road is Stratford on Avon with all the Shakespeare attractions: the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the Swan Theatre, Shakespeare's birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, the Butterfly Farm, and so much more.
