The Traddock Hotel.
Austwick, Settle, Yorkshire.
Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Traddock Hotel offers peace and quiet, invigorating adventure or merely the chance to relax and explore the charming Yorkshire villages and their traditional way of life. The Traddock Hotel is ideally located with lots of activities and a large array of walks such as the "Three Peaks" or the Wainwright walk to Crummackdale starting right from the front door.
The bedrooms at The Traddock are gorgeous, some coolly contemporary, others warmly traditional. For a really special occasion pick the new suite – exposed timbers, a lovely big sofa and a delicious free-standing bath. All the rooms are charming though, with chic fabrics, warm colours, comfy beds and sometimes a claw-foot bath.
Downstairs the lounge, bar and restaurant all link together in a warm, homely way (with a blazing fire in the fireplace when things get chilly). The chefs focus on providing the best local, seasonal and organic dishes inspired by the traditions of the Yorkshire Dales and the English slow food movement. Afternoon Tea is served each day either in the garden with views out over the Yorkshire Dales or in the lounge where you can settle on one of the large comfy sofas.
