Standing in beautiful mature woodland and gardens, Trigony House Hotel is a luxury Scottish country house with a combination of a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, excellent cuisine and friendly local staff. It's a particularly pet-friendly hotel, so ideal for guests wishing to bring their dog to share in walks in the rolling hills of Dumfries and Galloway.

Within the grounds of the hotel is a boutique micro spa; a separate, private space where you can relax, unwind and be inspired by nature. The stunning views from the wood-fired Swedish hot tub, Finnish sauna cabin and treatment areas complement the natural beauty therapies on offer.

The award-winning restaurant has both an open fireplace and big french doors opening onto the terrace, so it's a lovely place whatever the weather and time of year. Most of the produce comes from Dunfriesshire or close by. The local butcher provides local lamb and beef such as Galloway cattle from the nearby hill farms. The hills also provide wild venison, wood pigeon and partridge in season. Chicken comes from a little further as the chef has a particular passion for the rare breed Label Anglais chicken that comes weekly from England. From the opposite end of Scotland, the organic Shetland salmon is quite different from the usual farmed salmon. Many of the fruit, herbs and vegetables used in the kitchen come from the hotel's own walled garden.

Trigony House Hotel has nine well-appointed rooms, which are very different from each other in size and layout but all are en-suite with their own bathroom and have their own individual character. The larger rooms have a small comfortable seating area and the Garden Suite even has it’s own conservatory and private garden. Most of the rooms have views over the gardens and the Lowther Hills to the east, while others look towards the Kier Hills on the west side. One of the Classic rooms is situated at the back of the hotel and has views of the woodland and the ruins of an historic Roman fort. From the furniture and decor to the hand-sprung mattresses dressed with fine Egyptian linen Trigony are dedicated to providing you with a comfortable and luxurious stay. A butler’s tray is supplied with homemade shortbread and tea, coffee and hot chocolate. In the bathroom there are luxury organic toiletries from Ishga on the Isle of Lewis.

There is a wide range of fun, exciting or relaxing activities to enjoy whilst staying at Trigony House. From walking the quiet paths and tracks to Drumlanrig Castle to enjoying a spot of fishing in the calm lakes and lochs of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside. Alternative transport can come from bikes, horse-riding or a tour in a classic car.
