Standing right on the waterfront of the river Shannon where the waters drain out of Lough Derg is the luxurious Killaloe Station House B&B. Just a short walk away in Ballina or Killaloe you will find charming coffee shops, award-winning restaurants and bars where you can enjoy traditional Irish music and a warm Irish welcome.

This distinctive period house has been decorated with such elegance.  There's a lovely drawing room with river views and the breakfast room too has big windows facing the river. To really savour the beauty of the location though you need to go out in the garden, on the terrace, on the jetty, or in the special lounge in the boathouse. There you can watch the boats and the river meander by in peace and tranquillity.

Guest rooms have either a double bed or twin beds and are equipped with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. Some rooms have a seating area and/or a private balcony or patio. Extras include bathrobes and free toiletries.

The position on the river means that fishing and boat hire are readily available. There's a golf course nearby and of course the whole general area is perfect for walking, hiking and sightseeing.
