Castello Malicas
, Via Grazia Deledda, Galtellì.
Located on a big basalt rock outcrop, Hotel Castello Malicas is actually an aristocrat’s summer villa built around 1900. Built of stone, it certainly looks the part of a medieval castle as it sits in the Malicas Park and dominates to town of Galtelli.
A panoramic terrace is located on the third floor where all guests can enjoy the views or even arrange for a meal to be served there. The hotel also offers outdoor spaces for a pleasant stroll or to settle down and enjoy the sunshine.
Pastries, breads and salami are just some of the sweet or savoury items that feature on the daily breakfast menu. Breakfast can be taken inside or on the roof terrace. Through the rest of the day a bar service is available.
Castello Malicas has seven guest rooms, all furnished in Sardinian style and equipped with all the facilities for a pleasant stay. Each room has air-conditioning, wi-fi, a satellite TV, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom and organic soaps made in Sardinia. Single, double, twin and triple rooms are available.
Castello Malicas provides an alternative to the ubiquitous choice of holidaying on the coast, yet it is only a 10 minute drive down to the sandy beach near Orosei. There is plenty to see in the interior of Sardinia too and Galtelli itself is a town with a history dating back to Roman times, and with some sites that go back to neolithic.
