The 8 Boutique B&B (alternatively The Eight, or The EI8GT) is an attractive Bed and Breakfast in l’Eixample, the most elegant and fashionable part of Barcelona.
The crisp, clean, functionally modern guest rooms are perfect for a city break. The double rooms have a choice of a kingsize bed or twin beds, and the single rooms are equally stylish and don’t make you feel like a second-class citizen just because you are travelling on your own. The rooms have hardwood floors and the bathrooms are slate-tiled with a shower. There’s air-conditioning, heating, a television, coffee-maker, and just about every convenience you could need.
The breakfast room serves and excellent buffet breakfast every day, and you can pop in at any time for a tea or coffee. Alongside, the lounge area is a comfortable place to pause and maybe to catch-up with fellow visitors.
The central position of The 8 makes most of the main attractions of Barcelona within walking distance. For the more distant places, choose the excellent Barcelona Metro which has a station just yards from the B&B. You can even get to the beach on the Metro. Just around the corner is the Passeig de Gracia, a broad avenue filled with trendy bars, shops and restaurants, plus one of Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces, the Casa Battló.
Meals
A daily buffet breakfast is served in crisply modern breakfast room. Tea, coffee and water are available at any time of the day and night. In high season the service also includes wines, olives and other little snacks.

Modern, spotlessly clean, very relaxing and comfortable. The location close to the metro, accommodation and staff could not be more helpful they were all excellent. Breakfast was terrific. We enjoyed great hospitality and wonderful advice regarding places to eat and visit, help with travel arrangements. We really appreciated the offer of wine and olives when we returned from a day exploring.

The location was perfect, the staff very friendly and obliging, and the breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this option if you're visiting Barcelona. |
