Hotel Al-Ana is a sweet little boutique hotel on the Costa del Sol between Marbella and Estepona. It is situated in grounds of over 1500 square metres and is just a five minute walk down a sandy path to the sea. The beach there is one of the few unspoilt beaches on the Costa del Sol, with nothing but sand and a few beach bars for keeping you refreshed.
The garden is very secluded and private, and has a large chlorine-free swimming pool of classic design. There are various little spots around the garden for sitting or lounging, in the sun or out of it. Drinks and refreshments are served all day long and the pergola is a perfect place to have breakfast or a drink in the shade.
The nine rooms and suites are all highly distinctive, being themed after an iconic town or city. With the exception of the smaller Dover, they are all between 20m2 and 43m2 and each (again, except Dover) has a private patio or terrace. All the rooms have air-conditioning, a coffee making machine, electric kettle, minibar, flat-screen satellite TV, safe, iPod docking station, wi-fi connection and an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, hairdryer, dressing gown and slippers.
A short drive in one direction lies the fashionable resort of Marbella and the famous Puerto Banus. The other way leads to Estepona, a more family orientated town with a wonderful promenade by the sea and its harbour full of boats. Just a couple of miles inland you leave the Costa del Sol behind and head into the hills and mountains of Andalucia. Here you can visit Ronda or a hundred pretty little pueblos blancos (white villages).
Double room
Dover is about 15m2. Its private British ambiance is perfect for romantic couples or equally suitable for the single traveller. It is furnished in a traditionally old English style that never goes out of fashion.
Superior double room
Nairobi conjures up all the magic of Africa and its unique atmosphere. It has a queen-size double bed and a small writing desk for your convenience. There is a beautiful terrace with a view of the sea and you can access the gardens directly from the terrace. This is a very intimate room for a total change of scenery.
In Madras you find yourself in the most magical of countries with Shiva watching over you! With twin beds, a writing desk and a fantastic private terrace the room has a warm atmosphere.
Deauville is the most prestigious of seaside resorts in France! This room has large twin beds and is decorated in a baroque style for a truly elegant stay. There is also a fantastic private terrace that overlooks the garden.
Junior Suite
Florencia has twin beds, a beautiful living area and a very large private terrace. A small part of the Italian way of life on the banks of the river Arno.
Berlin: the most imperial of all German cities! This Junior Suite has a large private patio, a spacious double bed, and a small living area.
Ronda represents Andalusia. Decorated in the colours of Spain and bullfighters, it is the real and the hot Andalusia! The room has large twin beds, a living area, a small writing desk and a private patio.
Meals
Breakfast is served from 9.00 am (unless you need to leave earlier for a flight in which case it will be served at your convenience) and can be taken in your room, under the pergola, next to the swimming pool or in the garden.
In the evening there are plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity, and hundreds more just a short drive away in Estepona, Marbella or Puerto Banus,
