Located just a couple of kilometres inland from the beaches at Binigaus and Santo Tomas, Hotel Rural Binigaus Vell was once a substantial farm producing cereal crops and milk for the famous Mahón cheese. The hotel retains the original large farmhouse and the outbuildings, now all repurposed for their guests.
Although there is a bar, lounge and restaurant indoors, life at Binigaus Vell really revolves around the outdoor terraces and the large chlorine-free swimming pool. This is all a beautiful area of subtly landscaped grounds with plenty of room for everyone, in sun or shade according to choice.
The charming guest rooms all have a hairdryer, satellite television, telephone, Internet, mini bar, safe, and a desk. The Superior rooms and the Junior Suites each have a terrace and of course there is a private sitting area also in the Junior Suites.
A short walk down the nearby footpath will lead you to the unspoilt beach at Binigaus, or go just a little farther for the slightly more commercialised beach at Santo Tomas. The hotel owners have their own stables so this is an ideal place for trekking along the numerous and trails of the island. They can also arrange all manner of boattrips for those who would like to see the Menorcan coastline from the water.
Double room
Very bright rooms with good views, situated on the first floor of the main building.

Meals are mostly served outside on the terrace, but there is also an indoor restaurant for the very early and late season. The menu includes a wide selection meat, fish and seafood main courses, plus imaginative starters and desserts.
