Casa Mistela

Casa Mistela is an oh-so-chic B&B hotel located in a historic house dating from 1880, just on the outskirts of the village of Jalón (or Xalo). Owners John and Sonja give a warm and friendly welcome that will make you feel just like home as you experience the laid-back Spanish village lifestyle.

There’s a swimming pool with sun loungers, parasols and a shady chill-out zone. Meanwhile inside there is a lounge which opens wide in summer to become a part of the garden. There’s also a little library salon, and a dining court complete with honesty bar where guests can help themselves to a selection of beverages and wines, tapas, coffee or tea.

Four prettily decorated rooms, a junior suite and a large family suite provide the accommodation. The junior suite and suite provide generous private sitting areas, Nispero is an especially romantic room with a king-size double bed. The family suite has a generous lounge and three separate bedrooms each with a flatscreen television. All the rooms are air-conditioned, with wifi, Nespresso machine and bathrobes and slippers in the bathroom.

Out and About

Cycling. Sonja is an enthusiastic cyclist and can advise on the best routes. Bike hire is available, and also secure storage if you bring your own.
Walking. There are so many lovely walks in and around the Xaló Valley, or just take a stroll into the village.
Golf. Numerous golf courses nearby.
Beaches. There are lots of lovely beaches on the Costa Blanca within easy reach. There are the big sandy beaches of Javea, Calpe, Moraira and Denia, or the interesting little coves with 'chiringuito' beach bars in Benissa, or the crystal clear turquoise waters (great for snorkelling) at Granadella.
Watersports. On the coast between Calpe and Moraira you will find Les Bassetes. For those who want to venture the sea on a catamaran, a windsurfer or a kayak, this is one of the best places. There is also a diving club.
Horse riding. A relaxing way to enjoy the wonderful landscape and scenery of the Costa Blanca is possible at Club Hipico Benissa.

Nueva Almendra is a double-bedded room on the first floor with a view of the mountains. It has modern decor and a king size bed. The private bathroom has a hydro-massage shower.
