Finca Raims is a charmingly rustic boutique hotel in a substantial 18th century village house, situated in the village of Algaida.
Hidden behind the hotel, sheltered by big stone walls, the garden of Finca Raims is something of a surprise. This verdant oasis is filled with giant palms, centuries-old trees and an abundance of flowers. This is the place to find your favourite corner, by the swimming pool, under the pergola, or on the stone bench at the small lily pond. Settle yourself between lemon, orange and mandarin trees, or relax by the bougainvillea-entwined well in the patio.
The swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace and lawn with chairs and sun loungers. The pool bar provides not just drinks, but the famous local ice cream too.
Behind the rustic exterior, Finca Raims shows its origin as a village manor house. Pass through the entrance hall with its magnificent arches and traditional stone floor and you will arrive in the rich interior with not just a lounge and dining room but the former family chapel too, still gleaming with traditional splendour.
There are two large guest suites in the main house and the old outbuildings have been converted into four ample apartments, overlooking the garden with swimming pool. They all are tastefully furnished, in the Majorcan manner and offer the utmost comfort. Each has its own terrace, facing the beautiful patio that forms the heart of the finca.
In Finca Raims you will be able to enjoy a unique fusion of Majorcan rural life with attentive service in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, only a few minutes away from the village square with its bars, restaurants and shops.
Meals
The highlight of the dining week is the evening when a special four-course Mediterranean dinner is served under the palm trees in summer, or in the dining room in winter. On other evenings Algaida is blessed with a variety of restaurants offering hearty local specialties, having developed as a centre of Majorcan cuisine in recent years.
A hearty buffet breakfast is served daily, and don't forget the pool bar for in-between drinks and ice-cream.

Classy and Peaceful - It is a very special place. Not too overdone - quite simple in fact - but stylish and comfortable with a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere. |
This is one of the best places we have ever stayed! The finca is beautifully converted and maintained and the gardens and pool are an oasis of calm. At the finca you immediately feel a sense of well being and the breakfast in the gardens is the most glorious way to start the day... |
We loved the finca, above all the garden which is delightful. Jutta and Thomas are very friendly and the breakfast is amazing. Our room had views of the garden and the pool and lovely rustic details, but all the comforts too. |
