One of the oldest and most magnificent houses in the old quarter of Palma de Mallorca now houses the hotel Palacio Ca Sa Galesa. Dating from 1576, the house is now a 5 Star hotel that combines the best of antique furnishings and finishes with a completely personalised service and modern facilities. It also has the only swimming pool in the centre of Palma, and what a pool! This is no standard turquoise rectangle, but a beautiful roman-style bath under a vaulted stone ceiling surrounded by comfortable chairs, pot plants and classical statues.
There may be only 12 rooms (5 doubles and 7 suites) but there is lots of room to spread yourself here. Starting with the patio, you can relax by the fountain surrounded by greenery, then go inside to one of the two lounges full of antiques. There is also a bar laden with 17th and 19th century furniture, and if you’re feeling more energetic there is a fitness room and sauna. Up on the roof, the large sun terrace has impressive views across the gothic quarter, the harbour and Palma Bay. Throughout the house there are antique paintings and furniture, fabulous 19th century decorated windows, wall-cladding of Mallorcan pine, Puerto Rican hardwood floors and interesting museum pieces such as old French watches and items of marble and brass.
Each of the guestrooms is named after a musician or a piece of music. Again, there are elegant furnishings, silk curtains and antiques, and all the comforts one would expect, right down to non-misting mirrors in the bathrooms and bathrobes and slippers. The bathrooms are decorated with mosaics from Paris or hand-laid Mallorcan stone and each has either a hydro-massage bath or shower.
Palma’s old quarter is centrally located yet quite the antithesis of a city-centre location. It’s relatively quiet, convenient to the marina and harbour, all the sophisticated bars, restaurants and shops of Palma, and within easy driving distance of every part of Mallorca. Ca Sa Galesa is ideal for much more than just a city break.

| Beautifully appointed and decorated, in a quiet street just behind the cathedral, and comfortable walking distance of the whole city centre. Discreet and very friendly staff. Bathrooms are wonderful with all the proper soaps, colognes etc. As many towels as you want etc. Pillow menu from soft to firm! M.H. |
| What a gem - hidden away behind iron gates - beautiful rooms with wonderful jacuzzis and delightful toiletries....plus an enclosed patio for coffee and drinks in the morning or afternoon and a fantastic roof terrace overlooking the cathedral. |

A Word from the Owner
Wander amongst our antiques, take a swim in our unique swimming pool, enjoy an energising massage or a relaxing aromatherapy treatment, sit by the fireplace to read or listen to the tinkle of a fountain. Go up to the sun terrace where you can gaze out over the panoramic vista of the Bay of Palma, to an infinite blue such that you can't even tell where the sea ends and the sky begins.
