El Gran Sueño (The Big Dream) was the "big dream" for Dave and Javier, but they weren't content to dream: they went out and made it a reality. For anyone wanting to slow down and dream, El Gran Sueño is a perfect grown-ups-only Bed & Breakfast in the hills and mountains of Asturias.

A traditional village house that had seen better days has been brought back to life, renovated and endowed with modern conveniences and style yet retaining all the character of an Asturian house. There is a large garden where guests are invited to relax and recharge. High-speed wi-fi extends throughout the house and there is underfloor heating from a ground-source heat pump (reflecting an overall commitment to clean-living and sustainability).

The guest rooms are large and comfortable, each one with a sitting area. The furniture varies from antique to contemporary but is all of great quality. This quality shines through too in the beds and bed linens which assure a comfortable night's sleep.

El Gran Sueño is perfectly placed in rolling green hills, with the Picos de Europa mountains on one side and the rugged cliffs and long beaches of the Asturias coast on the other. Javier has prepared  mapped walking routes for guests straight from the hamlet of Caspio la Vega, while guests with a guide book will quickly realise the huge choice of walking, cycling and driving routes that are all around them. The town of Infiesto is just a ten minute drive away where there is a wealth of bars and restaurants.

Double Room

Once the master bedroom of the house, this room maintains its former character as a tranquil space. An original Juliette balcony frames a view of the hamlet square and the Asturian granary.

Deluxe Double Room with views

Rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms, walk in rain showers or a bath. There is a seating area to relax and high quality mattresses ensure a great night's sleep. WiFi is fast and free, and there is a desk,  a bluetooth BOSE® speaker and a small TV. The rooms enjoy views of the surrounding Asturian mountains.

Galería has a large gallery window letting in lots of natural light.

Jardín has views of the Sierra del Sueve, Picos de Europa and of course, the garden. Choice of king-size double bed or twin beds. The bathroom has a large cast-iron bath and a vaulted ceiling.

A traditional style gallery window in Loft brings plenty of natural light into the room and reveals impressive sunsets. A steep staircase leads to a cozy den in the eaves of the original barn.

Terraza boasts a full length window and glazed door leading onto a private outdoor space inspired by traditional Asturian balconies. From this room you can enjoy spectacular sunrises and stunning views of the Sierra del Sueve and the Picos de Europa.
