The Hotel Las Islas is a rare opportunity to be close to all the activity of the Costa del Sol yet not amongst it. A short distance inland from the beaches, the surroundings of the hotel are quite peaceful and with only twelve rooms, each guest is an individual and not just a number.
Las Islas is set in a garden of palm trees and tropical plants. Each guest room looks onto the swimming pool and terrace and many also have views down the hill to the coast. All the rooms are individually decorated and equipped with air conditioning and satellite television, and each has a small terrace and private bathroom. It's a nice touch that guests are offered a complimentary drink on arrival, and there is always a bottle of water in each room.
It's a fifteen or twenty minute walk to the nearest beach, and just a little further will take you into the centre of town. This stretch of the coast offers all manner of attractions, beaches, golf courses, bars and restaurants of course, but also Fuengirola Zoo, Benalmadena Sea World, Tivoli Park and the Picasso Museum.
A lively holiday on the Costa del Sol doesn't have to be noisy; just retreat to the lovely environment of Las Islas.
Light, bright rooms with a dash of colour. Very elegant. All rooms have a private balcony and face the lush sub-tropical gardens with several rooms having views of the sea.
The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries from Molton Brown.
Free WiFi is available in all rooms.
The Fairuz restaurant is a very important part of Las Islas: a place renowned locally for its Spanish Mediterranean and Lebanese cuisine. Meals are served in the restaurant, by the pool, or for a more intimate dinner, at a table in the garden. The restaurant is open for lunch every day and for dinner every day except Sunday.
Places to Visit:
Sea Life Aquarium (Benalmadena)
Picasso Museum (Malaga)
"It is difficult to believe that a place like Las Islas exists.. visiting Las Islas feels like being in the tropics, when you contemplate the jacarandas, date palms, cypress and banana trees."
"The hotel is on one of the Torreblanca hills so the beach is about 15 minutes away on foot. The elevated position brings in a refreshing breeze which is so much nicer than down at sea level, and you can enjoy a near total silence free from the hubbub of the beach."
"It's a hotel with a special charm. The dedicated direction of Omar and his team has created something that is just about unbeatable: an ocean of peace, tranquillity and good vibrations. Until the next time, we want to give them our highest recommendation and we send our thanks to all the staff, especially Omar and his family, Frederic and Antonio."
The Costa Del Sol has so much to offer, but sometimes you need to step back into a more peaceful retreat. The lovely garden of Las Islas is that retreat.
The combination of serenity and natural beauty makes Las Islas a romantic paradise.
