The little hotel Finca Son Jorbo has sat on its hillside site since the 17th century, during which time it has of course seen many changes, the most recent being the conversion to a chic bed and breakfast with five apartment suites. What has not changed in all that time is the view over the countryside, local towns and the mountains beyond. Centrally placed between the island capital Palma and the lovely marinas and calas of the east coast such as Cala D'Or, it is in an ideal position to explore the many delights that Mallorca has to offer. Most notable perhaps, just a 20 minute drive away, is the famous unspoilt beach at Es Trenc.
Offering stylish and relaxed surroundings, the hotel is divided into apartment suites. Each apartment has been individually designed, blending the rustic charms of a traditional Mallorcan finca with the essential comforts of contemporary living. The apartments have a sitting room, 1 or 2 bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a private terrace. Rooms are cleaned daily. When booking an apartment with extra bed, a 2 bedroom apartment is provided to ensure maximum space and privacy. All rooms have double beds.
For guests seeking the ultimate relaxation experience, the terrace and pool are a calming refuge where being busy doing nothing is the order of the day, other than perhaps an occasional trip to the honesty bar for a cooling drink.
For those who want to get around, Es Trenc, Palma, Cala d'Or and the whole island of Mallorca beckon, with activities like walking, horse-riding, swimming, sailing, bird watching and golf for those so inclined.
Guests have a choice of eating out in one of the many local restaurants or "eating in" making use of the ample kitchen in their own apartment, or the barbecue, and if you're making yourself a picnic lunch the hotel can provide a coolbox and knapsack to take to the beach.
Finca Son Jorbo is a place for peace and relaxation. For this reason it is not suitable for children.

Continental breakfast is served on the terrace in the summer and indoors on cooler days. There is freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, pastries and breads with home made marmalade, fresh fruit salads and local cheeses. For dinners, there are a number of local restaurants to tickle the palate.

Beaches: the south-east corner of the island has an abundance of beaches, some busy and some quiet and secluded.
Or visit the numerous calas (coves) along the east coast.
Cycling: numerous country lanes ideal for cycling or walking.
Golf: several courses within easy reach.
Historical sites: There are a large number of pre-historic and Roman sites and ruins within easy reach, some within walking distance.
Horse-riding: Professional stables, 12 km away.
Places to visit:
Mallorca is a small island so with a car, the whole island is within easy range.
Palma: a beautiful and sophisticated city with top-quality shops, restaurants and bars. Visit the cathedral, the old quarter and the marina.
Cabrera: Boat trips to the beautiful nature reserve on the island of Cabrera.
Sample any of the beaches, anywhere around the coastline of the island.

We have just got back from Finca Son Jorbo, where we spent 2 glorious weeks.
From the moment we arrived to the time we left Martin and Annie treated us like members of the family, and that’s just how it felt!
We were lucky to have chosen The Rosa apartment to stay in as the views from the roof terrace of their garden and the surrounding hills and country are amazing.
Inside the apartment was extremely comfortable and tastefully furnished with everything one could need.
It is a very special place with very special people, and I would 100 percent recommend it. |

Some feedback after a lovely week in Mallorca. We booked 3 nights at Son Jorbo and 4 at Es Castell. Both hotels are very well-run, set in pretty surroundings and serve delicious breakfasts and where applicable, evening menus.

Just back from Majorca; unfortunately a wet stay but Annie & Martin were marvellous hosts. We much appreciated their exceptional hospitality & attention to detail. I think it would be worth mentioning -in a nice way- that clients might prefer a choice of feather or foam pillows. We only had foam & neither of us found them comfortable.
I was not pleased with Auriga car rental- booked via your link. They made an exorbitant charge for diesel up front & didn't verbally disclose when we took the car that it had a missing hub cap. As a result we had a worrying day when we could see the car in daylight. It doesn't do you any good to be associated with this firm. We would never use them again.

| Have just booked my second trip to Finca son Jorbo, which says it all. If I could just own an apartment like that in Mallorca. The finca is just beautiful and Annie & Martin make you feel like you are house guests rather than a customer. Beautifully presented with all the little touches that make a place special, from fresh flowers, milk in the fridge for your arrival, even down to an adapter plug. We just love the place. |
We've had a wonderful holiday at Son Jorbo, it was absolutely just what we were looking for and we realize how fortunate we were to find your website, make the call and get lucky with a cancellation.
It is certainly something we will do again, probably somewhere else as we just don't tend to revisit places - there are just too many other places to see. However the type of accommodation is exactly what we enjoy and choosing a finca or something similar will be our preferred choice from now on. |
Lovely place - classy, relaxing, swimmiing pool, and Annie and Martin were great host and hostess plus the birmingham and Mallorcan cats.
Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit tortillas croissants and lovely presrves and fresh bread and of course strong black coffee. Annie and Martin cooked 8 of us dinner one night - delicious.!
You do need a car. But good beaches and restaurants, nearest 15 mins (restaurents) and 1/2 hour to 40 mone, Palma 30 mins. |
