A "wine hotel": sounds good! In reality Novavila is so much more. The hotel was born out of the wide-reaching passions of the Vilanova Peña family for wine, design, meeting people and the deeply-indented Atlantic coast of Galicia.
Tradition and modernity come together in Novavila in an eclectic style of decoration which really is a cut above the normal. Cutting-edge furniture sits in the verdant garden and contemporary lights illuminate the granite walls. Interior furnishings are a comfortable fusion of old and new. The bar injects a touch of humour with bar stools topped by bicycle saddles.
Wine and other artesan products are an important feature of course. Guests have ample opportunity to sample and buy the local wines (choose from the very exclusive Brut Novavila or the Rías Baixas Albariño), fruit preserves, candles scented with Albariño wine and a range of wine-therapy cosmetics and beauty products.
The lounge at Novavila provides a space to relax, listen to soft music, read a book from the wine-themed library, or simply to sample a "copa". Modern necesities are not forgotten though, so you might also connect your tablet to the free wifi to keep in touch with the outside world.
The position of Novavila Wine Hotel is ideal for touring the Rias Bajas coast of Spain, as well as visiting important towns and cities such as Santiago de Compostela, Vigo and Pontevedra.
