La Serena is a 4 star adult-only boutique hotel situated in a picturesque street in Altea’s old town. Originating as a three-storey gentleman’s town house, it has just been given a total renovation. This peaceful position up on the hill overlooking the sea is is just three rows back from the beach and five minutes from the bustling Plaza de Iglesia.

The stylish lounge-bar is an ideal spot to enjoy drinks, tasty salads and snacks, while the south-facing terrace and swimming pool are the perfect place for daytime relaxation. A chance to unwind and disconnect from the pressures of the rest of your life.

The newly-renovated guest rooms are spacious and fully equipped, including kingsize beds, flat-screen televisions, a minibar and an excellent bathroom. Most rooms have a south-west aspect and views down to the Mediterranean, two have their own terraces, and the remainder look out onto a quiet street of whitewashed houses and leafy patios.

Altea is a historic Mediterranean town, which has given great importance to the restoration and conservation of its old quarter. Originally a centre of fishing and farming, Altea is one of the loveliest towns along the southern Costa Blanca, retaining all its character and avoiding the mistakes of some of its neighbours. Guests of La Serena can enjoy a quiet amble through the narrow streets, down to the seafront “paseo” then while away some hours in the shops, bars, restaurants and marina that face onto the sea.

The Urban Standard Plus double rooms are slightly larger and are located on the first or second floor overlooking the picturesque street. The rooms have air-conditioning, 32 inch flat screen TV, safe and minibar. The bathroom has a shower and hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and make-up mirror.

The Urban Chic deluxe double rooms are located on the first or second floor. Three of them have a side sea view and a  mountain view. The fourth room on the first floor has just a sea view. They all include air-conditioning, 40 inch flat screen TV, safe, minibar, Nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom has a shower and hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and make-up mirror.

The spacious Urban Independent deluxe double room is located on the ground floor and has its own sitting area with a private entrance. The room has air-conditioning, 40 inch flat screen TV, safe, minibar, bluetooth radio and Nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom has a bath and walk-in shower, plus hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and makeup mirror. Maximum occupancy in this room is three people.

The Urban Superior rooms are located on the first floor and have sea views. The rooms have air-conditioning, 40 inch flat screen TV, safe, minibar, bluetooth radio and Nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom has a freestanding bath and shower plus hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and make-up mirror.

The Urban Superior Chic double room is located on the second floor and has a sea view with private furnished terrace of 15 m². The room has air-conditioning, 40 inch flat screen TV, safe, minibar, bluetooth radio and Nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom has a freestanding bath and shower, plus hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and make-up mirror. No extra beds in this room.

The Urban Superior Chic Suite is located on the first and second floor of a typical town-house located across the street from the main hotel. This suite features a separate living room with sofa bed, bedroom with furnished terrace of 6 m² with a side sea view. The suite has air-conditioning, 40 inch flat screen TV in the living room and 32 inch flat screen TV in the bedroom, safe, minibar, bluetooth radio and Nespresso coffee machine. The bathroom has a bath and shower, plus hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and make-up mirror. This suite can accommodate up to 4 people.
