Finca Son Josep de Baix
, Ctra. Porto Cristo - Porto Colom (M4014), Calas de Mallorca, Mallorca.
Finca Son Josep may just be the perfect combination of countryside and beach, providing holidays equally appropriate for romantic couples and small families. The finca is part of a large farm estate with sheep, free-range chickens, carob, fig, olive and almond trees. The farms land extends right down to the coast so there are three beautiful bays within walking distance: Es Caló des Serral, Cala Magraner and Cala Sequer.
The swimming pool is set well away from the cluster of buildings that make up Son Josep, surrounded by olive trees for shade, but with plenty of lawn and terrace for enjoying the sun too.
The nine family-friendly holiday apartments spread well apart for privacy and face out to the farm rather than towards each other. Majorcan architect Toni Esteves transformed former barns and stables into modern and comfortable apartments preserving the original character and the history of each: exposed and half-plastered walls, arches of Es Marés limestone, stone floors and traditional Mallorcan clay ceilings are witnesses of the long history of the finca. These historic elements are combined with high-quality furniture and accessories in light colours to bring together the comfort of today and the rural simplicity of the past. Guests may choose a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartment according to their own requirements. They all have a sitting room, a dining area, a kitchenette equipped for preparing simple meals and a private terrace with a barbecue.
The apartments include towels, toiletries and bed linen, and guests will find a welcome pack of fresh fruit, vegetables and milk on arrival. There is a small shop on-site for further food purchases or you could shop in one of the nearby villages.
The calas (bays) of this corner of Mallorca are absolutely stunning. Clear turquoise water invites you in to swim, snorkel or even try scuba-diving, while the soft sand is ideal for relaxing and the rocky edges are great for scrambling out to view the wider sea.
Meals
Each apartment has a a kitchenette with stove, fridge, coffee maker, microwave and everything you need to prepare your meals, a dining area and a beautiful terrace with barbecue.
Upon arrival, you will find a basket of fresh fruit, vegetables and milk in your kitchen to give you a good start to your holiday. In the little finca shop you’ll find a selection of fine high-quality products – all produced in Mallorca in small family businesses. They are mostly organic: wines and liqueurs, vinegars and fine oils, olives, almonds, jams, fruit and vegetables. Free-range eggs from the finca's own hens are always available.

Here's What Some People Have Written On Other Review Sites or in the Guestbook:
We love it so much that we're about to spend our third holiday here. We've had different apartments each time, and each one has been equally special. |
Above all, without doubt the best part of our stay is meeting the lovely Guillu00e9m and Maru00eda. |
The apartment we had was ideal. Perfectly equipped and exquisitely decorated. It had a double bedroom, a bathroom, a living area with 2 sofas, a kitchen and a garden! where we enjoyed fantastic breakfasts and dinners al fresco. |
There is no noise, just the sounds of the farm animals, so the sensation of being in the country could not be more intense. The pool is brilliant, perfectly cared for and surrounded by trees. To top it all off there are two nearby calas that are like two little paradises. |
Check room rates, check availability and make your booking. It's so easy!
