Es Petit Hotel de Valldemossa is a little family hotel situated in the stunning mountain village of Valldemossa, near the north-west coast of the island. Created from a substantial old village house, it has been totally restored and decorated in a style with both traditional and modern elements. It has everything necessary to pass an enjoyable break or holiday in the village that was an inspiration for Chopin and George Sand. Here, you have the feeling of being a part of the village, without losing any of the comforts to which we have all become accustomed.
Around the house, there is a sunny terrace with magnificent views of the valley. There is also a lounge with fireplace and bar, a dining room with doors to the terrace, and a pretty garden where the sun is pleasingly warm in winter yet has cool breezes in summer. Es Petit Hotel de Valldemossa is a special place, where you are treated like one of the family, allowing you to feel just as though you are in your own house.
The eight rooms have a crisp clean décor that blends comfortably with the age of the house. En-suite bathrooms of course, and there is air-conditioning and heating (both rarely needed), telephone and internet and even satellite TV if you are able to tear yourself away from the views outside.
The village of Valldemossa is a treat in itself, but it also offers a an incomparable scenic location on a ridge between valleys, surrounded by high verdant mountains. This is a privileged position ideal for walkers and hikers who are able to enjoy rambles through marvellous countryside. The sea is only 6 km away at Port de Valldemossa where you can enjoy the sun and water….. and the seafood! Golfers are well catered for, with the nearest course just 9 km away. Other visits that are just about compulsory are the picturesque villages of the Sierra de Tramuntana such as Deya (Déia), Sóller and Banyalbufar, and the impressive rock features of Torrente de Pareis at Sa Calobra.

Places to Visit:
Valldemossa. Most famous for the Carthusian monastery and the visits of Chopin and George Sand. Walk the steep narrow streets and visit the 13th century church and the birthplace of Santa Catalina Thomás.
Deya: Picturesque village on the coast.
Banyalbufar: Likewise.
Soller: Pretty little seaside town with a good beach a renowned fish cuisine. There is also a narrow-gauge railway to Palma.
Palma de Mallorca: The capital city, full of culture and beauty. Not just "the town next to the airport"

We had a lovely holiday in Valldemossa and thank you for your help in booking Es Petit Hotel. The hotel was excellent in every way, we had a wonderful room with terrace and views down the valley and particularly appreciated the kind and helpful management and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The breakfasts were delicious too with freshly squeezed orange juice every day.

I have done a great deal of travelling in my life, and can honestly say I have never experienced such quality, ease and care. My decision as to hotel was intuitive, and proved accurate in every respect. It was like being at home, and wonderful to come and go as one pleased in an environment I found near-on perfect. The location, views, arrangement of space were wonderful, but it takes insight and a sense of aesthetic decision-making to provide such pleasure in every aspect of the decor, service, breakfast, contact advice. I shall return to this hotel, hopefully this year.

| We had a wonderful holiday, in no little part due to the kind and attentive care which we received from our Hosts Margaritta and Gonzalez. The Hotel was beautiful and perfectly kept. We will recommend them to all and sundry! We usually go to 5 star hotels, so this was a new experience which, for all its qualities was at least equal to those, if not in many ways superior! We will return in the future. |
| We were delighted with the Petit Hotel in Valldemossa. The hotel has a
fantastic location and the room was spacious and extremely comfortable.
Owners were very helpful and even had todays Telegraph on hand at
breakfast. We would certainly go back.

We enjoyed our stay at "Es Petit Hotel" in Valldemossa. The proprietors were most hospitable and helpful, and the hotel was comfortable and relaxed.
The continental style buffet was excellent with fresh breads, rolls, fruit, yogurt ham etc on their delightful terrace looking down the valley. Our suite was quiet and with a well fitted bathroom, and with a comfortable king size bed. We appreciated the broadband facility in the room very much, and the assistance in getting it to work, with our Notebook computer! Our only minor negative comment, is with respect to the very small and ancient T.V & tuner. This ought to be updated soon? Finally the overall atmosphere was pleasant, most welcome and homely. Good value for money and recommended. |
| Valldamossa excelled in detail and service really nice people. Nothing too much trouble and the hotel is just about picture perfect with so much atmosphere and history, also ideal for our walking expeditions, which also made the evening meal even tastier. On the whole really good value for money would defintley recommend it to anyone. |
We stayed at the Es Petit Hotel in Valldemossa which was perfect. The room was of a very high quality with fantastic views down the valley and the welcome and general atmosphere of the hotel exemplary. It was a lovely touch to be able to return later in the evening to the hotel to find a warm and cosy area where we could sit and listen to music in front of a log fire!
The only recommendation we would make is for a list of restaurants open in the area to be available in the room or lobby area. Valldemossa does tend to be rather quiet at night!
