Sa Cruxitta
, Lungomare C. Colombo 61, Portoscuso.
B&B Sa Cruxitta sits right on the coast, facing west with a view directly over the marina of Portoscuso to the islands of San Pietro and Sant’Antioco. The Bed and Breakfast is a modern house where Carmen ensures that all her guests receive a welcome as warm as the summer weather. The decor is typically Mediterranean with lots of bright white walls, contrasted with some strong accent colours.
On hot summer days, thanks to the sea breeze, the garden that surrounds the house becomes a fresh oasis where you can spend pleasant and relaxing moments. Breakfast is served here, providing a stunning view under a grapevine porch. In the evenings, the garden becomes the perfect place to watch the sunset.
Three guest rooms provide the accommodation, each one a double with an en-suite bathroom. One room has a sea view while the others look out onto the garden. Slightly different in character, they are all a flatscreen television and wi-fi.
The south-west corner of Sardinia sees a lot fewer tourists than most other parts, which gives it a character all of its own. Portoscuso is the perfect base to explore this region at any time of year. The natural beauty blends in with the ancient Nuragic traces while the slightly more recent mining activities also speak of the island’s past. In the summer, along the coast from Capo Spartivento to Piscinas, you can explore wonderful bays still unknown to mass tourism. During the mild weather of spring and autumn, you can visit the interesting archaeological and mining sites of the area, savour the sensation of a solitary walk across seemingly unlimited expanses of sand or simply immerse yourself in the vibrant and unspoilt nature.
