Located in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains, conveniently situated for the north and west coasts of Mallorca, Son Ametler is a country boutique hotel of impeccable taste. It is run by the same team from the award-winning Finca Es Castell so comfort and good service are assured.
Set among Almond, Fig and Lemon trees, Son Ametler is an exquisitely-restored 18th century manor house where everything is “just so”. The huge gardens provide both privacy and a great place to relax and there is a large swimming pool there, bordered by elegant terraces. The 100 acre estate of woods and pasture provide fruit, herbs and vegetables for the hotel's own kitchen.
The interior is full of comfortable rustic beauty, enhanced by touches of modernity. There is an abundance of traditional wood and stone, offset by wrought iron furniture and super-modern quality bathroom fittings. The double bedrooms have air-conditioning and heating, a writing desk, a safe and television, DVD and fridge are available on request (though we can't think why anyone would want a television while holidaying in this beautiful place). Two of the rooms can be combined to make an independent family suite, and one is equipped with a ramp and wide doors for wheelchair access. Most of the bathrooms have a whirlpool bath and separate shower, with just one having a shower alone.
Guests are free to walk throughout the 100 acre estate, or may choose the travel a little further for walking or cycling in the Tramuntana mountains. The coast is about 25 minutes by car: head to the north coast for sandy beaches or the west for spectacular rocky coves and bays. The extensive finca isolates the hotel from neighbouring properties so it is very quiet. However the nearby villages are just a short hop by car.
Re-charge your batteries. Re-charge your senses. This is a rural Mallorca hotel of rare quality.

Reviews from Little Hotels Travellers:
|The best Little Hotel is Son Ametler which is a great location on the cycle route with quiet roads. Distance is walkable to neighbouring villages and we rented bikes to explore without a car in the North-East area. Very comfortable, really helpful and friendly staff, our one evening meal was excellent and breakfasts a great spread.|
|I cannot tell you just how successful our booking of Son Ametler has been for last weekend and since our friends left on Monday, for Edmund and I for the extra 4 days. From the moment I spoke to Paola on the phone, I knew that everything was going to be perfect - and it was more than perfect and Paola and her team exceeded my expectations.|
The place is truly magical, the facilities are superb, the quality of bedrooms, bathroom, linen, soaps, lighting, air conditioning and all the other little things that can be slightly annoying - were exemplary. The presentation and quality of the breakfast served each morning by the cheery young lady just made the start to the day a perfect one - and it progressed through out each day. The cleanliness of the bedrooms and reception area was excellent. Our friends were truly blown away by the whole experience, and the dinner party that Paola and her fabulous Manager Lee, organised for me on the Saturday night was nothing short of outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble and both Paola, Lee and the other staff always went the extra mile to make something a bit more special. Their thoughtfulness completed a wonderful experience.
Everything about Son Ametler is honest, excellent, divine and unique. I have stayed in some of the top hotels in the world, and nothing beats this place for its charm.
A terrific hotel and one that all your clients should visit.
Very many thanks for being the website that I found this through - it was exceptional. And many thanks to you throughout the booking process - you made it all so very easy and uncomplicated.
